Job Title: Desktop Support Technician

Desktop Support Technician

 

The team is looking for a motivated, energetic Desktop Support Technician, who enjoys working in a challenging, fast pace environment.  The Desktop Support Technician will work directly with the trading support desks, technology departments and back-office departments to understand and react to issues as they arise during the business day.

 

Requirements:

 

-Professional experience supporting, configuring, and installing Windows 7 and 10 PCs and laptops.

-Maintain patches, hot fixes, and virus updates for PC security.

-Must have experience troubleshooting MS Outlook email and other MS Office applications.

-Respond to production issues proactively (e.g. user needs, software and hardware updates and cabling and hub capacity issues).

-Train applicable local users on corporate standard software (e.g. Microsoft office etc.).

-Conduct audits on existing hardware and software to verify authorized use and maintains inventory of all hardware and software.

-Maintain established standards and criteria of performance of LANs, PCs, and related equipment and software.

-Support and troubleshoot mobile devices, iPhones, Printers and other Peripherals.

-Business application skills in UCaaS (VOIP), SSO, O365, BlueCoat cloud, etc.

-Develop and maintain detailed and accurate documentation of appropriate systems.

-Develop and maintain accurate records of all systems and software assets and inventory.

-Willing to learn Windows Server technologies and get well-acquainted with Microsoft Active Directory, Exchange Server, File Servers etc.

-Strong interpersonal skills.

-Ability to work well in teams as well as independently.

-Strong Attention to detail.

-Ability to prioritize and multitask workload.

-Proactive and shows initiative in completing projects/tasks with little supervision.

-Ability to interact with all levels of staff including senior management.

-Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
